It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of long-time member Dean Bass. He was a licensed Ham radio operator for over 30 years, had a General Class license and, a long-time member of the Bay Area Amateur Radio Club, had been entrusted with the offices of President, Treasure, and Trustee over the years. He also served as the Bay County ARES Emergency Coordinator for many years, was a trained SKYWARN Spotter, and was involved with the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
In honoring Dean’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust with inurnment to follow at the St. Paul Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor David Schultz. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Dean’s name to the St. Paul Ministry Center.
