Call to order

A meeting of the Bay Area Amateur Radio Club was held on June 13th,2024, at the Frankenlust Township park Bay City, MI. site of this year’s Field Day event. Board members in attendance: president Steve Covieo (ke8nko), vice president Loren Curtis (kf8f), and secretary Bill Baylis (ke8nkn). The meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm. 

Reports

Treasurer’s report: gave clubs current balance, and stated MCI (club insurance) was paid.

Secretary’s report: notes from May’s  meeting were read into record. Two of the items on this report have been revised (see; old business). A motion was made to accept these notes. The motion was seconded, and passed.

Old Business

Two corrections were made to May’s report. One: Club member Steve (ke8tsj) stated he had contacted a local club and corrections were made pertaining to our Nets starting time and day. Two: President stated club members had questions about Wires-X not Fusion.

New Business

President stated today’s meeting would be brief to give members time to review their setup areas. Also to have all participating members laptops updated.

Club member Gary stated the ARRL Site Locator did not list our club. The Vice President stated he had just updated the site and it now shows our Field Day location.

Club member Gary also spoke about the additional point (100) the club could gain for Field Day  if someone from the local Salvation Army or Media showed up at our site.

Adjournment

Motion was made by the president to end the meeting, motion was second by club member Rob. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 6:15pm. There were 12 members and 1 guest in attendance.
