Call to order
A meeting of the Bay Area Amateur Radio Club was held on August 11, 2022. Board members in attendance: President Steve Covieo (ke8nko), Treasure Dusty Trisch (k1dlt), and secretary Bill Baylis (ke8nkn). The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm.
Reports
Treasurer’s report: a fee was paid to the department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). This covers the club through 2023. Dusty reported current checking account, petty cash, and the total balance-on-hand.
Secretary’s report: meeting notes from July’s meeting were read. There were no additional comments made. A motion was made to accept July meeting notes. The motion was seconded, meeting notes were accepted into record.
New Business
President: Informed club members our 501 (c) 3 paperwork has been accepted. It may take between 2 and 6 months before the IRS finalizes this process.
President: Informed members operator Cameron (n9kop) had expressed interest in purchasing a used server owned by the club, currently held by Ray (ke8eaj). Steve stated the club would have no further use for this equipment and proposed we sell it, attending members agreed. A final selling price was not determined.
President: Again reiterated the need for a Master list of the clubs entire assets. The list would include passwords, account numbers, documents, and equipment. There was no further debate or action taken on this matter.
Club member George (ke8tsl) talked about his current antenna build. There was additional discussion from other members about their challenges in antenna builds.
Announcements
They’ll be a swap meet held at the Great lakes Maritime Center in Port Huron on August 28th, from 8a – noon.
Adjournment
A motion was made to adjourn, motion was seconded, meeting ended at 6:45 pm. There were 9 members and 1 visitor (kr1ngl) in attendance.
